1. Design & Build

Colour & Material: Gagan leather comes in “Desert Red” with a premium texture and strong, robust glass back. This feels a bit lighter compared to the previous iQOO devices, so quite comfortable to hold in the hand.
The construction of iQOO 12 is thick and consists of a metal frame along with a matte finish so that scratches do not occur. Based on general assessment, the entire construction feels sturdy, and no noticeable wear is seen when used for a long period.

2. Performance

Processor: The iQOO 12 is equipped with the newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and 8GB or 12GB RAM configurations. With this setup, phone performance is seamless—be it gaming or multi-tasking. Intensive applications can be thrown at the phone for a seamless experience with the aid of the shift between different apps.
Gaming & RAM Management: A sane RAM management at the core of this device smooths and enhances the gameplay of demanding titles such as BGMI and COD: Warzone. It remains cool, and the top temperature doesn’t go over 42-43°C even after long periods.

3. Battery & Charging

Battery Life: The 5000mAh battery is capable of providing wonderful endurance, though the screen-on time goes as high as up to 13 hours on moderate use, even in heavy tasks like games.
Charging: Fast charger 120W: It will charge the phone completely from 0-100% in just 27 minutes, which makes it extremely practical for power users to minimise downtime.

4. Camera

Triple Camera Setup:
50MP Primary Sensor: The sensor is terrific in low light. The colour reproduction with high dynamic range and excellent detail are without comparing.
50MP Ultra-Wide Camera: Good sharpness and nice macro capability, apart from being a bit finicky about autofocus sometimes. It is capable in low light as well, as the colour reproduction is natural.
64MP Periscope 3x Telephoto Lens: Digital zoom goes up to 10x. It does a pretty good job at capturing details from afar with very good sharpness until 5x. Images get a bit soft when zoomed all the way to 10x; they remain usable, though.
Portrait Mode & Bokeh: The portrait mode’s edge detection is excellent, making the skin tones smooth and natural. The bokeh effect is sweet and lifelike.
Video Recording:
There is 4K 60fps video recording on all of the rear cameras, and the footage is stable with good detail. In low-light, though, the ultra-wide lens does have some noticeable noise and colour fading.
Front Camera: The 16MP front camera takes okay-quality selfies with decent skin tones. Given the latest cameras, low light is relatively decent. It does not have a 4K video resolution.

5. Software & Features

FunTouch OS 14: It is based on Android 14, and the FunTouch OS offers a fast, customisable experience. One of the useful features is app lock, dual apps, along with the silent call recording feature.
Pro Mode & Customisation: It has a dedicated Pro Mode whereby the user can have complete manual control while some other specialised photography modes, such as astrophotography and Super Moon for creative shots, are offered. Deep customisation for the UI elements is provided, such as dynamic effects for face recognition and fingerprint sensors.

6. Display

AMOLED Display: The 6.78-inch AMOLED panel comes with 144Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. It entails the colours to be quite vibrant, and the blacks are very deep. Along with that, you get great outdoor visibility. The peak brightness of 3000 nits ensures readability even under direct sunlight.

7. Audio and Connectivity

Stereo Speakers: The dual stereo speakers of this phone provide loud, clear sound coupled with good bass for enhanced multimedia experience.
Connectivity: It equips with 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB Type-C port for quick data transfer and access to wired audio through a dongle, if needed.

8. Service & Support

Service Centres: The company provides more than 670 service centres in India to offer after-sales support and ensure that it can reach the users for repair and maintenance.

9. Pricing & Value

The iQOO 12, priced starting at Rs 52,999 for the base edition with 12GB RAM, seems to be the sweet spot within the flagship space, as high-end specs will now arrive at a competitive price. Overall, it comes among the most top premium options, so one gets to experience a flagship feel without a premium price tag.

It is nearly impossible to point out at least one strong feature for it, since such characteristics as the processor core, a multifunction camera system, and an AMOLED screen have a perfect combination to satisfy needs in all major categories; this includes performance, entertainment, photography, and convenience.

For customers who want to enjoy flagship performance, excellent photography and gaming capabilities, and good budget friendliness, the iQOO 12 perfectly matches that. Even last year’s models, such as the iQOO 11 or 9 series, are more than good for those looking for a similar experience on a tighter budget.

Where to Buy: Amazon has the iQOO 12 and, in fact, offers great deals on the model during many of its massive sales events.
